With the Supreme Court decriminalising consensual unnatural relationships, India joins 125 other countries where homosexuality is legal. In what is being hailed as a landmark judgment, a five-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court unanimously decriminalised part of the 158 year old colonial law under Section 377, IPC, stating that it was violative of the Right to Equality and the Right to Live with Dignity.
